Nespresso Vertuo Evoluo: The Ultimate 2019 Reviews

I love espresso, the first time I tried it was in a café, and I wanted to be able to make one in my home. At first, I thought that only coffee shops could get a hand on the machine that makes that coffee, and then I found Nespresso Vertuo Evoluo after some brief internet browsing.

I ordered it immediately, and this is my impressions and review of the machine.

Coffee machines are great to have if you like your coffee to have that rich flavor just like the ones in professional coffee shops. Everyone who considers himself a passionate coffee drinker found getting the proper coffee machine at least once

I’m also that type of person. Sure, I can drink instant coffee, and brew it by hand, by that’s just not it. It can never have the flavor that you get from a cup of coffee in a coffee shop.

People who know that a perfect cup of coffee can make the day better should definitely get a coffee machine, those who are not that passionate could consider that an unnecessary expense, and should stick to instant coffee.

Now, the important things that coffee machine is supposed to have are:

  • Ability to make a single cup of coffee needs to be as automated as possible
  • The ability to make different sizes of coffee (this is very important for me because I take the large one)
  • Since you want an espresso machine, it should have the option to brew the coffee with hot and with cold milk (the usual two options for espresso)
  • It should be easy to use
  • It should be able to be cleaned easy
  • Any extra additions that will make it stand out from the rest

About Nespresso Vertuo Evoluo Coffee Machine

Nespresso Vertuo Evoluo Coffee Machine

This machine is Nestle brand coffee maker. The aim was to make the machine for people who want to brew their espresso at home with the most straightforward and minimal interaction. The targeted audience are the real coffee enthusiasts who appreciate their coffee time.

The machine has a premium design, and it comes with 12 Nespresso capsules. It’s not cheap, so I think it’s the right choice only for people who really want to have a great coffee machine, or it can be a good solution for office. It is cheaper than the Nespresso Lattissima Pro which is a top shelve home coffee maker.

It comes in different color variants, of course, I took the red one because it really stands out with the red and black combination of that premium design.

To sum up, the good things and bad things, check the list below:

  • Can be used to make both coffee and espresso
  • Very simple and easy to use
  • Excellent quality build and design
  • Very easy to clean
  • Option to add hot and cold milk
  • Amazing milk frother

  • Quite pricey, capsules too
  • Limited selection of flavors
  • Can be a bit noisy when making coffee

Features And Benefits

Easy To Use

This might be the simplest coffee machine I have ever seen. The coffee is ready in just a couple of steps. All you need to do is set the cup support to the size of the cup you want to use, and press the button on top to activate the machine.

When the indicator on the button starts glowing, unlock and open the machine, then insert one of the Nespresso Evoluo pads, close the machine and lock it. Now just press the button, and the coffee will start flowing. And that’s it; the coffee is ready!

Now the only thing left is cleaning, which is funny, because it’s done just by opening the machine, and it ejects the capsule automatically.

Quick Setup

The Evoluo is ready to go right out of the box. Seriously, as soon as you get it out of the Nespresso Evoluo bundle, it’s ready for usage! There is no complicated setup, and it doesn’t require for you to follow Nespresso evoluo manual to get it ready for work.

Just unpack it, and you will be able to make coffee just minutes after. I really never seen something so ready out of the box. It barely requires any interaction or effort to set it up and use. It’s like the people who designed it know that I can’t wait to start making coffee, or that I like to make one in a hurry.

Simplest Interface Ever

The machine only has one button, it’s insane, one button and one lever for locking and unlocking. And the reason why it has such simple interface is that it has a barcode reader which reads the barcode on the capsule and knows how to brew that certain flavor.

You only need to press the button two times. The first time to start the preheating process, which lasts for only fifteen seconds, and the second time to start pouring the coffee. You can, however, press the button again to stop the pouring or to prolong it.

The machine does all the work for you; the interface cannot be simpler than this.

Very Quick Brewing

You can get your cup of coffee ready in a single minute. Yes, really! That goes for espresso and coffee too. If you want a cappuccino, that can take around three minutes. I never saw cappuccino being ready that fast.

As I can be on a schedule a lot and need to get things done quickly, this machine helps a lot, since it makes the coffee so fast. I can turn on the machine, get dressed up, and my coffee will be ready even before I’m done.

Easy To Clean

It almost requires no cleaning to be done ever. When the coffee is ready, you pop the top of the machine, and it will eject and store the capsule in the compartment dedicated to storing it in a matter of seconds.

All you need to do is empty the compartment when it’s full, and it can store a lot of them. If you want to empty the compartment even rarely than that, then you can get the deluxe version. In terms of storing capacity, the deluxe version wins the Nespresso Evoluo vs. Evoluo Deluxe battle since it can store more water and used capsules.

Everything else is completely the same, so this can be considered as a Nespresso Evoluo deluxe review as well.

The Impressions On The Web

Before ordering, I scouted for comments and reviews of people that already had the chance to use this coffee maker, and they seemed positive enough. After the fifth positive comment of the ease of use and the flavor of the coffee, I had to give it a shot.

The Alternatives

If you found Nespresso Evoluo not quite the choice for you, I found some alternatives that can be good also.

Gaggia Brera Espresso Machine

Compared to Evoluo, Brera is definitely an upgrade. It’s a more professional machine that can grind the coffee, and it has a rapid steam technology. It is a bit more complicated to use, but it has much more options, and it’s the type of machine you can see in coffee shops.

With all those extra features, of course, it’s much more expensive, almost double. If you really want a professional type of coffee machine in your home, then Brera could be the one.

Mr. Coffee Café Barista

Café Barista resembles the pro machine, but it’s really nice and compact. It can make espresso, cappuccino, and latte. It easy to use with the press of the button for the desired drink, and it has a designated milk reservoir.

It’s easy to fill, and it’s done so just like in the big pro coffee machines. Café Barista makes great tasting coffee, and it’s a cheaper option compared to Evoluo. If you don’t care that much about premium design and you want to use your own selected coffee instead of capsules, then Café barista might be just for you.

Even though it’s the most expensive option here, I had to include Magnifica. The flavor of the coffee that comes from it is just out of this world. And I love the design it has, it looks premium, and it’s a blend of the compact and professional machine all in one.

The cappuccino brewed in this machine is absolutely the best. It’s easy to use, and it practically has it all, it grinds the coffee beans, it’s easy to clean, and it can be manually programmed in the menu settings.

If you really don’t have a limit on your budget, then by all means, try out the Magnifica. The cost is more than double of the one of Evoluo, but it also makes the two coffees at the same time.

If you want something that can brew homemade coffee that tastes like the one at the Starbucks, but you don’t want to pay the price of the professional machine, then the Nespresso Vertuo Evoluo could be the best choice you have.

It will provide you with the professionally made coffee with a single press of the button with the minimum time elapsed. If you want to check out more, click here and take a better look.
